Kate Winslet uncomfortable talking about gender pay gap openlyNov 12(AZINS) While Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence have voiced their opinions about the gender disparity in Hollywood, Brit Kate Winslet finds discussing money out in open rather vulgar.

In an interview with BBC's Newsbeat, Kate Winslet said, "I'm having such a problem with these conversations. I understand why they are coming up, but maybe it's a British thing. I don't like talking about money; it's a bit vulgar isn't it?"

The Steve Jobs star is astonished by the conversation because she finds it strange to discuss it out in the open. She also said that she has not personally faced sexism in her career. "Honestly no. And if I'd ever been in that situation I would have either dealt with it or removed myself from it. I find all this quite uncomfortable."

Since the Sony hack debacle shone the light on the difference between payments of female stars compared to their male counterparts, the conversation about gender disparity has been revived.
