Asus India teases with news of their upcoming ZenFone Zoom launchMumbai, Jan 5(AZINS) Asus India has sent out a release centered around ‘the next level of smartphone imaging.’ The email, informing of the company gearing up to ‘reinvent smartphone photography’ talks of a phone with ‘unprecedented hardware technology for the clearest and sharpest images ever captured through a smartphone’. By all accounts, this describes the ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML.)

The standout features in this phone are certainly photography-centric, including a 13 MP primary camera with 3X optical zoom, Laser Auto Focus and 10 lens elements with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This phone also uses Asus’ PixelMaster technology that is known for capturing low-light shots with up to 400 percent increased sensitivity in dark conditions which eliminates the need to use the flash.

The phone is available in two variants, one with an Intel Atom Quad Core Z3580 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and an Intel Atom Quad Core Z3590 (up to 2 cores running at 2.5GHz.) Internationally, the phone comes with either 64GB of 128GB of integrated storage. Although it isn’t clear which of these feature variations will be India-bound.

Other specifications include a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, 4GB of RAM, a microSD card slot to add up to 128GB of storage and a 3,000mAH battery.

Stay tuned for pricing and availability details.
