Sherlock: The Abominable Bride recap: Our favourite moments from the episodeJan 9(AZINS) Sherlock: The Abominable Bride is one of the confusing episodes of the series if you are a casual watcher. There is not a shadow of a doubt that the story is good and dialogues fly, not to mention the cinematography but wish Suzie Lavelle was given a brighter palette to work on.

Sherlock answers the one simple question in this 90-minute episode. He risks his life, ODs on an entire list of 'stimulants' to give us an episode setting up the stage for the next season. Apart from these technicalities, there were various moments in the special episode where we all squealed, or gave one or the other reaction, shall we revisit them?

War Watson -

The beginning was similar to that of the first episode of the first season. Oh, the feels!

Muttonchop Lestrade -

If we got the War Watson without the moustache, then we also got Lestrade with muttonchop sidelocks. He still needs help from Sherlock, and yes, Sherlock insults him in the most innovative ways!

New way of deduction -

In the Victorian ear, Sherlock takes his 221 B living room in the middle of the street to understand what happened with the abominable bride. Brilliant concept by Douglas Mackinnon.

Molly Hooper -

How many of you were shocked and excited to see Molly Hooper disguised as a man? Intimidating Anderson and taking command of the morgue in the presence of smart ass Sherlock?

The best conversation of the entire episode - I can't stop giggling whenever I think of this conversation and what followed later

This is what followed...

CHUBBY MYCROFT HOLMES!

The awkward conversation -

The conversation during the stake out at Carmichael household was something Sherlock wanted to have with himself. He only needed his Boswell to ask the questions. Can you see the resemblance with the conversation modern day Sherlock had with big brother Mycroft about goldfish at the beginning of season 3?

Watson and the bride -

We jumped in our seat

Victorian texts too appear on screen...

Shock and awe and a lot of confusion

Okay, Andrew Scott looks dishy in the Victorian attire. Also, there is something about bad boys. But this puzzle of a character is back and by this time in the episode, confusion had reached its peak

Curl appreciation -

Victorian Sherlock looks good too. But Curls...

Mycroft cares

No matter how deep a mess this big brother can throw Sherlock in, he will always get him out. Be it a Russian/Serbian mob or a list of drugs this modern day Shezza has snorted.

Sherlock is never alone -

No matter how much Moriarty convinces Sherlock of their alikeness, the one thing that separates them is Sherlock has John Watson. His only friend.

Moriarty has a point there

Whose dream was it?

At the end of the episode we are left wondering whose dream we were looking at. Modern-day Sherlock knows what he has to do with the Moriarty situation. But Victorian Sherlock comes back and says he is man ahead of his time. So whose hallucination were we witnessing?
