HTC rumoured to be building Google's 2016 Nexus smartphonesMumbai, Jan 21(AZINS) Google's been reaching out to other brands to build their Nexus lineup of devices for years now, with last year's Nexus 5X and 6P coming from LG and Huawei. And this time, rumours are surfacing that the upcoming 2016 Nexus smartphones are coming from HTC.

A singe post on Chinese social network Weibo indicates that HTC will be the OEM to build Google's next smartphones, to be out sometime post August this year. It' be the first time the company is building a Google device since the Nexus One from 2010, not a particularly well-received device. Going by this year's trend, there will be two device variants, one 5-inch and one 5.5-inch display. The post also indicates that HTC will build both devices, though nothing is for sure yet.

Seeing as this is just rumours and speculation, don't expect any confirmed news until Google updates their OS later this year.
