Facebook launches online 'sports stadium' feature with unique interactive experienceJan 24(AZINS) Facebook has launched a new feature called Facebook Sports Stadium on Sunday, which it calls 'a dedicated place to experience sports in real-time with your friends and the world.'.

The goal is to bring all content related to a particular sport at one place, in real time, and provide an interactive experience for users.

According to Facebook, you will be able to access the following features once Facebook Sports Stadium is available:

1) Posts from friends, and their comments on plays
2) Posts and commentary from experts, like teams, leagues and journalists
3) Live scores, statistics and play-by-play commentary
4) Game information, like where to find the game on TV

The option of commenting on, liking and sharing play-by-play is also available in this new product.

Facebook says that the new product can be accessed by 'searching for the game'.

The new product, which is available on iPhone in the US at present, currently covers American football games. However, Facebook has announced that it intends to expand the regional availability and the platforms which can use this feature. A number of other sports such as basketball, soccer etc. will soon be available in this format on Facebook Sports Stadium.
