Rick’s ramblings: The ‘big myth’Mumbai, Jan 26(AZINS) The urban myth that there’s this big gorgeous, sexy, ungettable man with everything you want in your life who will ultimately fall in love with you and come to Paris and ultimately tell you “you are the one” no matter how much shit you both go through in between and you live happily ever after and the crazy love will conquer it all (with a minor kissing the ex-boyfriend issue that gets solved with a big honking piece of black diamond) — the story of one of my most beloved character on television ever — Carrie Bradshaw (actually no Samantha is my favourite).

Anyway, the point is, the myth that so many can relate to in the urban world — the two failed marriages on his side a string of many nearly perfect relationships on your side but nothing compared to the “big love” as Carrie said once made me think it’s the longing for the ultimate ungettable love that makes it that much more desirable.

Crazy thought but true!

Sometimes the simple love is not enough and it’s not for everyone... People with their simple love seem so lovely but sometimes that’s not good enough, sometimes you need the crazy twisted love. The love that wasn’t meant to happen and then it did. It also made me think of all the relationships that fail not because there wasn’t enough love but because we always compared it to “what it would have been” with the other person. That honestly is a bit unfair but then again the heart has a mind of its own and it doesn’t follow logic and is totally cuckoo at times. ‘The heart wants what it wants’ and maybe sometimes, it just wants to believe in a crazy little thing called mad love and a ‘big myth’ and why not, miracles do happen.
