Watch a drone convey the true extent of destruction in Syrian city of HomsMumbai, Feb 5(AZINS) Drones have that unique ability to capture perspectives that no normal camera is able to. From lost caves to being a must-have at recent weddings, the idea of a floating viewpoint through scenery is unbeatable.

Most recently, a drone captured video footage as it flew through a stunningly desolate zone--the destroyed remains of a Syrian city called Homs. More than 80,00,000 people lived in Homs in 2008, but civil war since then has completely left the city in ruins.

In 2011, thousands of natives of the city of Homs took to the streets in a peaceful protest against Assad. Assad's enforcements responded by firing on protesters. This is believed to be the turning point and the start of the Syrian civil war between rebels and the regime.

In a video captured by RussianWorks you can see the drone fly over streets, above buildings and between buildings, getting a rare bird's eye view of the city, rolling across miles of war-torn land.

It’s a stark reminder of the the unique of the human race to destroy itself.
