Asus ZenWatch 2: First ImpressionsMumbai, Mar 7(AZINS) Asus has been on a roll lately with the success of their range of budget smartphones most notably: the Zenfone Max and the Zenfone 2 Laser. Not to mention the Zenfone Zoom, Asus’ first smartphone in the premium bracket. The company has now launched the ZenWatch 2 to compliment Android smartphones.

The watch itself is not the prettiest to look at, but looks aside, it is one of the better smartwatches in the market owing to the well designed Android Wear operating system.

The strap looks and feels a bit flimsy, it's not very thick and and when I put it on, it felt like a slight tug could yank the watch right off my wrist though the watch is made from genuine leather so it's probably stronger than it looks. The straps are also changeable with Asus offering three different colours--silver, gunmetal and rose gold--and an optional steel band.

The smartwatch comes with one button on the side which is nothing more than a nifty add-on as most of the time I used the touchscreen display to navigate through settings and apps.

The device is integrated with Google now that can be used to navigator through the interface (via voice control) which brings us to the microphone on the other side of the watch.

The device has a lot of dead space between the display and the ends of the screen that wasn't too noticeable when I used the darker watchfaces but once I started navigating through the interface it stuck out like a sore thumb.

Stay tuned for the full review coming shortly.
