Atma Veda Gana Foundation(AVGf) is a 501(c3) Non-profitorganization headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. The primary mission of thefoundation is to educate and celebrate the Vedic culture.

AVGf is offering thefollowing veda courses for Fall 2018. Note that there are 2 coursesthat run on Fridays (Tempe/Chandler) and 1 course onSunday (Scottsdale)

 

VE110 – Mantra SaraniI  (SCOTTSDALE – Sundays 6:00 – 7:00 PM)

(14 week course with breaks inbetween, Cost: 100$)

This is a foundational course meant for newcomers to the AVGsyllabus. The student will get familiar with basics ofintonation, chanting and procedures. The student will be able to chant thevimshat gayatris fluently and discuss the fundamental associaton of Vyahrutis(energies and deities)

Scottsdale Dates: SundaysAugust19th, 2018 – Dec 9th, 2018

VE130 - Beginner SuktasII (CHANDLER / TEMPE – Fridays 6:30 – 7:30 PM)

(14 week course with breaksin between, Cost: 100$)

This is a beginner/intermediate level course and is intended forstudents with some understanding of shlokas and mantras. A newcomer to AVG mayhave to do additional practice to maintain pace with the class. At the end ofthe course the student will be able to fluently chant the suktas anddevelop a broad comprehension of the meanings, context and intent.

VE237 - Rudra Namaka andChamaka (CHANDLER / TEMPE – Fridays 6:30 – 7:30 PM)

(14 week course with breaksin between, Cost: 100$)

This is an intermediate level course.Strong familiarity with AVG basics and methods of learning is required. Thiswill be reasonably fast paced to allow significant portion of the material tobe covered. At the end of this course, the student will be able tofluently chant the Rudram with an open book and develop a broad comprehensionof the meanings, context and intent.

Guidelines

  • For VE 130 and 237 Students must be older than 13 years of age (Exceptions will have to be approved by the instructor)
  • For VE 110 Students must be older than 9 years of age (Exceptions will have to be approved by the instructor) 
  • Only registered students are allowed to attend.
  • As the space is limited, no kids or visitors are allowed in the class room.
  • Students must be seated by 6:30pm. Attendance will be taken at the start of every session.
  • Learning material will be provided in Sanskrit and English (for those of you that request the material in an alternate language, best efforts will be made to accommodate your request).
  • Please bring a pencil, eraser and a notepad to take notes

Course Fee

·  CourseFee of $100 must be paid during registration.

·  Registrationsare non-refundable after the first week of classes.
