Bihar Assembly Election 2020: People of Bihar 'hate' Nitish Kumar, says RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav

As the first phase of Bihar elections scheduled for October 28 inches closer, the verbal spat between political parties seems to have intensified. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday (October 25, 2020) said that the huge turnout of the crowd during his rallies showcases that the people of the state are not happy with "energyless, conservative and narrow-minded" Nitish Kumar.

"The crowd at our rallies show that people are not just angry with Nitish Kumar but they hate him now, this is the level of their angst," he said.

Yadav reminded that the Bihar elections this time is not about caste, creed and religion but about the youth and unemployment in the state.

He further said that Nitish Kumar has lost his sheen and is not the right person to rule Bihar. "It seems that he has become energyless from the kind of boring, meaningless speeches and things he is doing. Nitish Kumar is tired now and he is no longer able to manage Bihar," Tejashwi said.

Tejashwi Yadav has been constantly attacking the Chief Minister for being "physically and mentally tired".

Earlier, on Saturday (October 24), the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav released his party manifesto for Bihar Elections 2020 in Patna.

Tejashwi said that he will make efforts to create a new Bihar by bringing in overall development. "Our party's resolution is to bring overall development to the state and create a new stunning Bihar," he said.

The manifesto also promised to provide 10 lakh government jobs for youths, higher Minimum Selling Price (MSP) rates for farmers and better health care facilities in the state.

"A ragpicker is also employed but here we are talking about 10 lakh government jobs and it is set to become true during the first cabinet meeting itself. 4.5 lakh jobs are vacant in the healthcare services sector, the education department, etc. The post of 7% of junior engineers are lying vacant," said Tejashwi while releasing the manifesto.
