Amid rape allegations against actor Pearl V Puri, an old video of him on 'respecting women' goes VIRAL- Watch

Actor Pearl V Puri, who was arrested on June 4, in the alleged rape and molestation of a minor girl, was on Tuesday (June 15) granted bail in case. The actor was arrested by Waliv police under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences). Amid all this, an old video of Pearl as been going viral on social media.

In the viral video Pearl can be seen speaking about respecting women. “I salute all women, you deserve it,” he says adding that a person who doesn’t respect women, doesn’t deserve respect at all.

The ‘Naagin’ actor further says, “Its not about following somebody, its about loving somebody. the kind of love I get from you all is insane. I get so happy and feel I don’t deserve this love. I want love and positivity.” The video has been shared by a fan account of the Pearl.

Pearl’s lawyer has applied for bail on June 7 but he was denied and the earring got postponed to today (June 15). The alleged rape incident took place in 2019 on the sets of Pearl’s show, ‘Bepanah Pyaarr’. The minor girl was the daughter of Pearl’s co-star.

Pearl’s arrest had jolted the TV industry and various celebrities including Ekta Kapoor, Divya Khosla Kumar, Anita Hassanandani, Nia Sharma, Surbhi Jyoti and Arjun Bijlani among had extended support to the actor. Ekta Kumar had even claimed to have voice from the minor’s mother stating that Pearl is being framed by the girl’s father who is fighting a custody battles with her.

Pearl has acted in several shows such as ‘Badatameez Dil’, ‘Nagarjuna’ and Meri Sasu Maa. Apart from this he has also been part of reality shows such as ‘Kitchen Champion 5’, ‘Khatra Khatra Khatra’ and ‘Box Cricket League 4’. Pearl was last seen in the show ‘Brahmarakshas 2’
