'It's not overconfidence': John Abraham on 'Batla House' clashing with 'Mission Mangal' and 'Saaho' at box office

July 10 (AZINS) The makers of John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House dropped the film's trailer on Wednesday. The movie, which is inspired by true events will be embroiled in a three-way clash at the box office this Independence Day as Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal and Prabhas's Saaho too will hit the theatres on the same day.

At the trailer launch event of Batla House, John Abraham was quizzed about the film's clash at the box office with Mission Mangal and Saaho and the actor said that he's pretty confident about his film. While interacting with the media, John shared that he's not concerned about the other two films. All that he's concerned about is his own film. He also added that they've all done the math and they still want to release it on Independence Day only.

John told the reporters, "More importantly, it is not overconfidence. I have a lot of respect for every other film. I am confident that Nikkhil has made a very good film."

Speaking about Akshay Kumar, with whom he's worked in Garam Masala, John Abraham said, "Akshay and I are dear friends. We get along well. We are releasing two films on the same day, we are giving the audience a lot of choice. Our film is very good, I can hope the other two films are also good. August 15 is a good day."

John further revealed that in 2020, a sequel to another film of his will hit the theatres on August 15m 2020. "We will be releasing 'Batla House' this year and there is another sequel of my film which we will be releasing next Independence Day. We are very clear we want to release our films on Independence Day," he said.

Batla House will be locking horns with Mission Mangal and Saaho on August 15, 2019.
