Salman Khan CONFIRMS exit from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Inshallah' but insists the movie will still be madeAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Recently Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali had confirmed that Inshallah is currently on hold. Bhaijaan had later on even tweeted that he is no longer part of the project, but as promised, he would arrive on Eid 2020. Ever since, there has been a mystery around Inshallah.
Salman however confirmed at the recently held IIFA 2019 that he is no longer part of Inshallah co-starring Alia Bhatt. Although he did not reveal the reason for his disassociation with the film, Salman went on to add that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie will go on floors, but with another actor.
"Currently, 'Inshallah' is not being made. Inshallah will be made but at least not with me", said Salman at IIFA. Alia also went on to state at the same event, “I was very excited to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, of course very excited to work with Salman as well. I believe that sometimes things just happen and it’s not in your control. That way there’s a saying that if you want to make God laugh then tell him about your plans because plans never really go as per plan. But I can give it you in writing that I am going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon.”
Alia Bhatt could play Gangubai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming project. Although Priyanka Chopra's name was quite regularly associated with the project, a source recently told Pinkvilla, “Bhansali had committed to working with Alia and is a man of his words. He is now discussing a film revolving around a brothel owner of Kamathipura, Gangubai. The film will be an adaptation of a chapter from S Husain Zaidi’s Mafia Queens of Mumbai.”
Inshallah would have marked Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan's association once again after Khamoshi: The Musical and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The superstar had a brief role in Ranbir Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor's debut movie Saawariya. Meanwhile, Salman is all set to arrive as Inspector Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 3 on Christmas 2019.
