'Daud': Ananya Panday's sister Rysa turns short film director; ropes in Karisma Kapoor's daughter Samaira KapurAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Ananya Panday's little sister Rysa Panday has turned into director and her short fil titled Daud released on Sunday. The film has a heartwarming story about Mira, who belongs to a poor family and lives with her mother. She sells pencils to meet the needs and while doing the same, meets a girl along with her two friends. Mira runs a race with them and ends up winning which impresses the three friends. They help her to fulfil her dreams which eventually leads her to win a medal and also receiving a pair of shoes from them.
If you watch the film closely, you will notice that Karisma Kapoor's daughter Samaira Kapur plays a supporting role along with Sanjay Kapoor's son Jahaan Kapoor. While the main lead Mira is played by a girl named Aarti and the other friend is played by Dhaniti Parekh. Interestingly, producer Ritesh Sidhwani's son Nirvaan Sidhwani is the assistant director of Daud.
This is not Samaira's acting debut as she had helmed and starred in a short film titled Be Happy back in the year 2015. The film got featured at the International Children’s Film Festival of India in 2015 in the 'Little Directors' category.
Talking about Rysa, she recently turned 16 and her whole family including Chunky Panday, Bhavana Panday and Ananya took to their social media pages to turn the young one on her birthday. Ananya had made her acting debut last year with Student of the Year 2 for which she swept off major debut awards.
