'It’s on back burner with no immediate plans of revival': Neeraj Pandey on Akshay Kumar starrer 'Crack'
Back in 2016, Akshay Kumar had taken to his social media pages during Independence Day and announced his collaboration with Neeraj Pandey for a film titled Crack. The actor had written, "Friends, I'm happy to share with you that after Special 26 and Baby, in 2017, I'm collaborating with Neeraj Pandey once again! This time, we come together for 'CRACK' - A Neeraj Pandey film. Releases Independence Day weekend 2017. Need your love and blessings."

But the film didn't witness any broad daylight and reports of it getting shelved started making the rounds. It was also being rumoured that Akshay and Neeraj had a fallout. Addressing all these rumours, the filmmaker told Mumbai Mirror, "There has been no fallout with Akshay, so, why the question of a reunion? I am moving on with Chanakya (led by Ajay Devgn) and he is doing other films. It’s a great responsibility for both of us and we have to wait for the right project."

When asked about Crack, Neeraj went on to say, "It’s on the back burner with no immediate plans of revival. I was not happy with the script, but if I manage to crack something good in the future, I might (revive it)."

Currently, Neeraj released his web show titled Special Ops on Hotstar Special. The show stars Kay Kay Menon in the lead role.

On the other hand, Akshay's latest outing Sooryavanshi was all set to release on March 24, 2020. However, the release has been postponed due to coronavirus pandemic.
