Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has been admitted to a city hospital, a report said on Tuesday. The news portal said that that actor's health suddenly deteriorated and he has been admitted to the ICU. For the uninformed, in 2018, the actor had first announced that he had been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour. He travelled abroad for treatment and had also wrapped the shoot of Angrezi Medium, which hit the screens just a few days before the lockdown.

Irrfan had poured his thoughts in an emotional note on battling cancer. He had said, "I had been in a different game, I was travelling on a speedy train ride, had dreams, plans, aspirations, goals, was fully engaged in them. And suddenly someone taps on my shoulder and I turn to see. It’s the TC: 'Your destination is about to come. Please get down.' I am confused: 'No, no. My destination hasn’t come.' 'No, this is it. This is how it is sometimes."

The actor also recently lost his mother Saeeda Begum, who passed away in Rajasthan. Reports said that Irrfan paid his last respects through a video call, as he was unable to travel due to the lockdown owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Saeda was unwell for a long time and died of natural causes. She belonged to the Nawab family of Tonk and was a resident of the Beniwal Kanta Krishna Colony in Jaipur.
