Sharon Osbourne admits to battling postpartum depressionLos Angeles, Oct 16 (AZINS) In the wake of Hayden Panettiere's decision to enter rehab after giving birth to her first child, Sharon Osbourne has revealed her own struggle with postpartum depression.

The wife of Black Sabbath frontman Ozz Osbourne has been open about her battle with depression, but it's the first time she talked about suffering from post-natal depression, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"I did suffer from it with one of my pregnancies, but I was suffering from depression anyways," she said.

"The depression is so dark, you feel like you're in a black fog the whole time and you just cannot cope. And you get to a point where you don't realise what you've got with the baby and you're just so dark and distraught and alone and it's the loneliest feeling in the world," she added.

Osbourne said she was on her own, after her husband "was away for six weeks after I gave birth".

"My pediatrician knew I was having trouble and he helped me. But it's the loneliest place in the world. Horrible," Sharon said on her show "The Talk".

"People who have never experienced it simply cannot understand it ... they need help, women need to know there's nothing to be ashamed of, you're not alone, it is a medical condition and there is help..." she added.
