Mumbai, Nov 26(AZINS) Google is celebrating Verghese Kurien's 94th birth anniversary with its doodle.

The doodle shows the white revolution with milk can in the hands of the popular social entrepreneur, along with a cow standing nearby.

Kurien, also known as the 'Father of the White Revolution,' turned India from milk-deficient country to the world's largest milk producer, exceeding America in 1998 with about 17% of world's output in 2010-11'

Not only this, with his efforts, daily farming became India's largest self-sustaining industry.

His biggest creation was Amul brand of daily products.

Verghese Kurien died on September 9, 2012 in Nadiad, Gujarat. He was 90 year-old.
