Mumbai, Feb 8(AZINS) Google wishes Dmitri Mendeleev a happy 182nd birthday by redesigning their logo to honour the iconic Russian chemist. If you're still wondering who Dmitri Mendeleev is? Dmitri was the man who formulated the Periodic table of chemical elements.
Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev was born on 8 February, 1834 at Verkhnie Aremzyani, in the Russian province of Siberia. In 1869, he published the Mendeleev's table, the first recognized periodic table which consisted of all the 63 known elements (at the time) which were arranged based on their atomic mass.
He also accurately predicted elements that were yet to be discovered, leaving spaces in the Periodic table, three of these elements were discovered in his lifetime which led to the table being widely acknowledged in the scientific community.The table has been changed numerous times since, the seventh row was completed in January, just of Mendeleev’s birthday.
Dmitri Mendeleev died on 2 February, 1907 at Saint Petersburg, Russia.
