Phoenix Art Museum will present a number of virtual events in June as we remaintemporarily closed to continue to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, and visitors and as wework to solidify plans for a phased re-opening in the near future. These events continue our commitment toengage audiences with the Museum’s exhibitions and collections from the safety and comfort of their homesduring the time of COVID-19.

    Virtual Frist Friday

    On June 5, Phoenix Art Museum presents a throwback First Friday experience. Audiences can relive favorite formerFirst-Friday performances at PhxArt with a YouTube playlist featuring sound art by Kristen Miologos, a set withDjentrification, a dance performance by Nicole Olson, Mark Hughes, and Francisco Flores, and so much more.     Weekly Virtual Mindfulness Sessions

    June 4, 11, 18, 25 | Noon
    Scientific studies show the art of mindfulness can relieve anxiety, depression, pain, and stress and actually changethe way we feel, think, work, and play by opening new pathways in the brain. Presented in collaboration withHospice of the Valley, this free, 30-minute, at-home mindfulness session promotes living in the moment. Thissession is hosted on Zoom, a video conference platform.     For Teens | Virtual Summer Workshops

    June 10, 24 | 2 – 3:30 pm

    For ages 13 – 18. All skill levels welcome.

    Hosted by a PhxArt Museum educator, Remix It: Virtual Summer Workshops for Teens encourages art lovers aged13 to 18 to create their own mixed-media artworks inspired by an object from the Museum’s collection. Each
