As you may be aware, we started the series What I Wish My Parents Knew earlier this year in an attempt to raise awareness of some important issues affecting the mental health of teenagers, especially in the Indian community, and provide a forum for constructive dialogue between parents and students to improve the state of affairs.

Over the past four months, GYM students shared their inputs and perspective, along with some recommendations, on these topics in AZIndia magazine. See details below.

Hackathon Objective & Approach
Now, we are conducting a virtual "hackathon" on this subject on June 27th, where parent-student teams will discuss the issues, brainstorm ideas collaboratively, and present their solutions. We will pick the top three or four ideas/solutions from the hackathon and feature them in AZIndia and potentially other social media for the remainder of the year.

Hackathon Sign-Up
We would love participation from high school students (including incoming freshmen and graduating seniors) and parents of high school students for a productive dialogue and successful outcomes. Please see the details below and sign up at the links provided by Saturday, June 19th.
