Vaikasi Visakam: Observed on the full moon day in the solar month of Vaikasi when the star Vaishaka prevails, this festival is dedicated to Lord Kartikeya/Subramanya as it marks the day of His birth. Lord Kartikeya was born from the divine spark that emanated from the forehead of Lord Shiva.
