COVID-19 patient from viral 'Love You Zindagi' video passes away, netizens mourn loss

As India battles the deadly second wave of COVID-19, the internet is flooded with posts and ordeals of people fighting the virus and healthcare professionals helping infected patients stay strong during these difficult times.

Last week, Dr Monika Langeh took to Twitter to post a video of her 30-year old patient in the COVID-19 emergency ward, grooving to the song ‘Love You Zindagi’, from Shahrukh’s 2016 movie ‘Dear Zindagi’.

The video soon became viral and was re-shared multiple times on the social media platform where people appreciated the positive outlook of the patient in these dreadful times.

In a rather tragic update, Dr Langeh on Thursday (May 13) said that patient lost her battle to COVID-19 and has asked people to pray for her family.

“I am very sorry.. we lost the brave soul... please pray for the family and the kid to bear this loss,” Dr Langeh wrote in her Twitter post.

Dr Langeh had been giving updates about her patient on the micro-blogging site and according to her post before the demise, the patient had got an ICU bed, however, her condition was not stable.

“She got the ICU bed but the condition is not stable. Please pray for brave girl. Sometimes I feel so helpless. It's all in the hands of almighty what we plan what we think is not in our hands. A little kid is waiting for her at home. Please pray,” Dr Langoh wrote in her post on May 10.
