Lakhs of devotees take holy dip in Sangam on day 25 of Maha Kumbh. Eversince Maha Kumbha mela has started (January 13) lakhs of devotees from all around the world are reaching Uttar Pradesh's Pryagraj to take sacred dip in Triveni Sangam.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi took a holy dip at the Sangam yeasterday wearing a bright saffron jacket and blue track pants.
After reaching Prayagraj, the Prime Minister took a boat tour in the Yamuna River with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Maha Kumbh 2025, which commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from across the globe. The Mahakumbh will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26. In line with his commitment to promote and preserve India's spiritual and cultural heritage, the prime minister has consistently taken proactive steps to enhance infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites.
According to Uttar Pradesh government data, the total number of bathers since the commencement of Mahakumbh has exceeded 382 million as of February 4, underlining the event's unparalleled spiritual and cultural significance.

The Maha Kumbh officially concludes on February 26, but it is time to move on for the 13 akharas that define the essence of the grand congregation. And the first sign of their departure is the lowering of their respective flags.
Following the final 'Amrit Snan' on Basant Panchami on Monday, the akharas have began leaving with a traditional 'kadhi pakoda' meal. The 13 akharas belong to different sects of 'sanyasis' (worshippers of Lord Shiva), bairagis (followers of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna), and udasins (devotees of the five deities).
Nearly 150 seers of the Bairagi sect's Panch Nirvani Akhara began leaving on Tuesday. About 35 are left. "Once Thakur ji (the deity) is ceremoniously moved, the 'dharma dhwaja' (religious flag) will be loosened," said Mahant Raju Das of Shri Panch Nirvani Ani Akhara, associated with Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya.
