Whoaa! Rs 5.5 crore spent on a song in Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra starrer Namaste EnglandJune 6 (AZINS) Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Namaste England is unsuprisingly a romantic film, filled with songs and music. But something that may actually leave you astounded is the fact that one of the songs in the film is touted to be one of the most expensive songs by Vipul Shah. Vipul claims that the song 'Tu Meri Main Tera' cost him a whooping Rs 5.5 crore and is the most expensive song till date. It is said to have been canned in over 11 days.

A report on BollywoodHungama quoted Vipul as saying, "I generally don’t talk about numbers, but yes, it is the most expensive song I have shot in my life." "I direct tracks that don’t require choreography by myself in my films and who better than Javed saab for a travel song. It’s emotional and high on quality. We will decide the singer once we’re back in Mumbai," he added.

The music of the song, which has been shot in varied locations, including Punjab, Bangladesh, Dhaka, Brussels, Calais check post in France, Paris and London seems to be very promising in terms of mind-boggling scenery. The music of the song is said to be composed by Mannan Shah.

And why has the director-producer spent so much on a song?  “The song is an integral part of the film where we show Arjun and Parineeti’s characters travelling from Punjab to London. We did a lot of research and created an interesting route to reach our destination. We are showcasing it in real time. We started the journey in Punjab and ended it in London. Around 18-20 locations feature in the song. We have even shot in the middle of the sea," reveals the helmer.

It is not only the song that has left Vipul Shah blissful. The director is all praises about his leading jodi and the chemistry that they share on screen. While sharing his happiness about the lead pair with the portal, he said, “This is Arjun and Parineeti’s second film together after Ishaqzaade and they are good friends who play pranks on each other all the time. I call them Tom and Jerry because they are wonderful together and that chemistry will be visible onscreen.”

Although the shooting is in process, the singers for the song are yet to be finalised. Vipul is assertive that the singers will be finalised once he is back with the team in Mumbai.

Namaste England is slated to release on October 19 this year. The kinetic Ishaqzaade duo will also be seen together in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which will be produced under Yash Raj Films.
