Ryan Reynolds, Chris Hemsworth, David Beckham - Hollywood hunks who are also doting fathersJune 17 (AZINS) These on-screen superheroes and tough guys are super cool dads off it. The Hollywood hunks have shown that they can walk a tightrope between caring for their kids and disciplining them, all the while showing their goofy and serious sides. Read on to find out what makes these actors daddy cool.

RYAN REYNOLDS
Unlike most doting dads out there, Ryan Reynolds has a different approach to parenting — loving by trolling. One of his tweets reads, ‘Went to Disneyland because my daughter’s obsessed with Mickey Mouse. She was so excited when I got home and told her.’ However, he does take his parenting responsibilities seriously. In an interview, he shared, “We (he and wife Blake Lively) don’t allow our film schedules to overlap. We are very conscious of being present as parents. I come from a big family and so does Blake, and we want to create a warm and happy environment for our children.” Ryan also admitted his perspective on life has changed. Speaking to an international magazine, he said, “Having a family means that you stop worrying about a lot of stupid things and you start focusing on the present.”

CHRIS PRATT
When he is not playing guardian of the galaxy or battling dinosaurs, Chris Pratt dons the cape of a doting father. He does not mind going gaga over his five-year-old son Jack. The actor has shared snapshots of their adventures together as a team of two. For instance, when the pair went fishing last year at Kualoa Ranch just off the coast of O’ahu in Hawaii, the proud dad shared a photo of their prized catch.

DWAYNE JOHNSON
Contrary to his monicker, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is a softie at heart. He recently became a father again to another girl. He said, “To my third and youngest daughter, Tiana Gia — like I did when your two older sisters Simone Alexandra and Jasmine Lia were born, you have my word, I’ll love, protect, guide and make ya laugh for the rest of my life. Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hats in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear. Oh and one more thing... you’re gonna love rollin’ in daddy’s pick up truck (sic).” If that post does not win him the cool dad tag, we don’t know what will.

IDRIS ELBA
Being a cool dad is also about taking pride in your kids. And The Beasts Of No Nation star did that in style when he brought his then 15-year-old, Isan, to the Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 30, 2016. “This is my beautiful daughter. She’s my date today,” he told ET, as the teenager stood by his side. Isan joined her father at the 2015 Academy Awards as well. Elba is also father to a two-year-old son, Winston, with his ex-girlfriend, Naiyana Garth.

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS
Some memories should be about sweet treats and lazy strolls, and no one gets that more than How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris. When he is not acting, he makes it a point to hang out with his twins, Harper Grace and Gideon Scott. Whether it’s catching a quick movie or munching on cookies during a walking tour of restaurants, this dad knows how to have a ball with his twin joys.

CHRIS HEMSWORTH
Thor, aka Chris Hemsworth, when on a break from defending Asgard and the world against Thanos, likes to have a ball with his kids. Recently, a video of him singing and dancing to Miley Cyrus’s Wrecking Ball had everyone floored. Who can resist a goofy dad, who knows how to have a ball, without wrecking it?

DAVID BECKHAM
The world may see him as the hunk who knows how to play football and walk away as a winner, but Beckham as a dad can be both embarrassing and adorable at the same time. Recently, in one of his interviews, Beckham admitted to trolling his elder son Brooklyn on two accounts when he wore his clothes and when he boasted about the amount of followers he had. He also spoke about how he is a strict dad but even that comes from love. He revealed about their TV habits, “No more than an hour. I know that sounds pretty harsh, but I want my boys to be outside playing. It’s so important to me that they’re involved in sports — for discipline and health. Brooklyn is pretty skilful. My middle one, Romeo, is the quick one; he’s super fast. The small one, (Cruz), is the tough one, of course — being the smallest boy.” However, David conceded that when it came to his daughter, Harper, he found it more difficult to stick to the rule book.
