Leaked: Images of the Moto One Power 'Android One' smartphone surface onlineAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
June 21 (AZINS) Lenovo-owned Motorola is expected to introduce a new Android One smartphone named, the Moto One Power. Live images of the same surfaced online, offering a glimpse of the device.
Based on the image, the upcoming device sports a dual rear camera set up, similar to the iPhone X. it also includes a logo on the fingerprint scanner towards the back and a notch on the front side respectively. On the upper left side of the device, you will find a SIM card slot while towards the upper right side, you will find the volume rockers and power button. The bottom includes a dual grill speaker and a USB-C port.
In terms of leaked specifications, the smartphone will feature a 6.2-inch display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM, along with an internal storage of 64GB. The device will also come equipped with a 12MP + 5MP dual camera set up along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Running Android 8.1 Oreo, the device will be backed a 3780mAh battery. At the moment, there is no confirmation from the company regarding the same.
Recently, there were rumours that Motorola is taking a swing at the foldable phone concept, according to a patent that has been filed and a leaked image. This is according to a patent filed by the firm, which was spotted and reported on by Let's Go Digital. The patent image demonstrates the brand's vision, showing a foldable smartphone that fold out into a tablet-like device. The name of the patent is “Three-part foldable housing supporting multiple use positions in an electronic device.”
There seem tobe two cameras, one on the front left, probably intended as a ‘selfie cam' when in phone mode. The second on the top right is likely a dual camera and, according to T3, “this should allow for a stereo effect for the images to make 3D-like shots.”
Two hinges placed in the top center and top bottom suggest that the phone will fold along that axis, possibly even propped up like a tent. In theory that could mean a good viewing angle for watching TV on the phone. Whether this phone ever goes to market is another question, however it does look like Motorola does not plan to sit back and let others get too much of a head start with this concept. But with rumors suggesting Samsung could release something as early as next year, there is no time to waste.
