'I was apprehensive because of the health history of Nargis Dutt ji and mine': Manisha Koirala on taking up SanjuJune 27 (AZINS) With barely two days left before the release of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju, the excitemen among the fans to witness the life story of Sanjay Dutt on the silver screens is gaining momentum by every passing minute. The trailer and songs of the film have already managed to impress the audiences. While Ranbir has been hailed for his unbelievable transformation into Sanjay Dutt's avatar, another reason why fans are excited for the film is Manisha Koirala, who will be seen playing the character of Nargis Dutt in the Rajkumar Hirani film.

Both Nargis Dutt and Manisha Koirala have the deadly disease of cancer in common. While Nargis lost her battle with Cancer, Manisha managed to fight is bravely. When the folks at BollywoodLife aksed Manisha if she imemdiatelt gave her nod for the film, or she took time for the same, the actress shared, "I was a little apprehensive because of the health factor. The health history of Nargis Dutt ji and mine. I wasn’t sure if I could be in that frame of mind, or in that space, to do justice. So I was a bit apprehensive initially. I came here to meet Raj sir (Rajkumar Hirani). When he narrated me the entire thing showed me the rushes… that’s when I agreed to do it.”

The actress also said that given a chance, she would love to play Nargis Dutt in her biopic, in case it ever gets made.
