Save the date! Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 to release on November 29 this yearJuly 10 (AZINS) After being postponed several times ever since the film went on floors, looks like finally, the wait of the fans is going to end this November. The makers of the much anticipated Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson starrer sequel to the 2015 film Robot aka Enthiran, have finally confirmed the release date of 2.0. The movie will now hit the theatres on November 29, 2018.

Earlier, reports were rife that the makers of the film were not too kicked with the quality of the visual effects of the film and so they've decided to rework the VFX since they weren't convinces with the first copy. Speculations were also rife that the makers were eying the Republic Week 2019 release, in which case 2.0 would have clashed with Hrithik Roshan's upcoming film titled Super 30.

Now, putting all the speculations to rest, the makers revealed the new release date of the film on Twitter along with a new poster. Akshay Kumar too shared the tweet of Lyca Productions writing, "Get ready for the ultimate clash, #2Point0 on 29th November, 2018!"

This would be the second time that two films of Rajinikanth will be releasing in the same year. Earlier this year, Kaala had hit the theatres and towards the end of the year, it'll be 2.0.

The movie 2.0 has been written and directed by S Shankar and is supposed to be the first Indian film to have been shot in 3D format directly. The movie is also reported to be the most expensive Indian film to have been made till date.
