Here's how Kubbra Sait got the chance to audition for 'Sacred Games'July 15 (AZINS) Kubbra Sait is the talk of the town following her portrayal of a transgender woman in Netflix series Sacred Games. Kubbra shot a full frontal nude scene while playing Kukkoo, love interest of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's mafia Ganesh Gaitonde.

The new platform seems to have given a boost to her career which only had minor roles in Salman Khan movies before this opportunity.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Kubbra revealed that at the MAMI screening for Mukkebaz she was asked by director Anurag Kashyap to audition for the role.

She revealed, "I was recommended to Anurag, and literally three days after this, we both were there on the red carpet of the MAMI film festival (in Mumbai), where (Anurag’s film) Mukkabaaz was playing. I skipped a heartbeat when he walked up to me and said, ‘Tere baare mein suna hai. You act, right? Let’s do one thing. You will get a call from the casting office. Go and just audition.’ That’s where it started, and eight days later, I was finalised. Another four days after that, I started shooting! That was my turnaround time to play this role! It still leaves me baffled."

Kubbra also said that she got the role over a 'fantastic actor' who had been preparing for the role for two months. It only took her eight days to get into the skin of the character.

Sacred Games is being touted as India's answer to Narcos. Co-directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the series also stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Neeraj Kabi, Girish Kulkarni, and Jitendra Joshi.
