Intimate 2nd trailer for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' focuses on Freddie Mercury, Queen's rise to superstardomAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
July 17 (AZINS) Get ready to have your mind blown with the latest trailer of Freddie Mercury and Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody released on Tuesday.
The latest trailer leans towards giving a bit more information about Freddie Mercury's personal life and for the first time addresses the singer's AIDS diagnosis.
Tom Hollander's Jim Beach says, "We just need a bit of time," to which Rami Malek's Freddie replies, "What if I don't have time?"
The 2.30-minutes-long footage boasts a brilliant medley of Queen songs from 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' 'We Are the Champions,' to 'We Will Rock You' as the background score. The trailer is more intimate than the previous instalment of the video the fans were treated to. Band members Brian May (played by Gwilym Lee) and Roger Taylor (played by Ben Hardy), John Deacon (played by Joseph Mazzello) get a bit of spotlight as well.
A small banter during the recording of the song 'Bohemian Rhapsody, when Freddie (Malek) tells Roger Taylor (Hardy) that there is only room in this band for one hysterical Queen, will bring a broad smile to band's fans' faces.
Rami Malek's resemblance to Freddie Mercury is uncanny. To sharp ears, at a few places in the video his Mr Robot accent can be traced. Other than that, Malek takes charge of the stage and the screen like Mercury did.
The second trailer is all about the person behind the superstardom and his journey to get there. The additional lines in the official synopsis agree.
While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.
Apart from aforementioned cast members, Bohemian Rhapsody also stars Aidan Gillen, Allen Leech, Lucy Boynton, and Mike Myers.
Directed by Bryan Singer, the movie will bow out on November 2
