Rod Stewart announces new album 'Blood Red Roses'Author : AZIndia News Desk
July 21 (AZINS) Music legend Rod Stewart has announced his 30th studio album Blood Red Roses.
In a statement posted on the musician's official website, Stewart said the new album, having 13 original tracks and three covers, will be released on September 28 through Republic Records.
The album is available for pre-order now and includes an instant download of the album's lead single "Didn't I", which is about the damage drugs can do from a parent's point of view.
Blood Red Roses is Stewart's first in three years, following the international bestsellers Another Country (2015) and Time (2013), and comes nearly 50 years to the date when he signed his very first solo recording contract.
"I always think I make albums for a few friends and this record has that intimacy. Sincerity and honesty go a long way in life and the same is true in song-writing," Stewart said.
The rocker has co-produced the LP with his longtime collaborator Kevin Savigar and it will be released as both a 13-track standard edition and 16-track deluxe digital version.
