Jio GigaFiber effect: BSNL revises high-end broadband plans to offer 3TB FUP data at 100mbpsAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
July 23 (AZINS) In an effort to compete with Reliance Jio GigaFiber, BSNL has now revamped its fibre to the home (FTTH) plans by increasing its FUP limits by almost four times for four of its broadband in all circles.
The Rs 3,999 plan will now offer 500GB of FUP data with a download speed of 50mbps, compared to the 300GB at 20mbps. After the FUP limit is exhausted, the download speed will drop down to 4mbps.
The second plan, the Rs 5,999 plan, will now offer 1000GB of FUP data per month at 60mbps, compared to the 400GB of FUP data at 30mbps. After the FUP limit is exhausted, the download speed will drop down to 4mbps.
The third plan, for Rs 9,999, will now offer 2TB of FUP data at 80mbps, compared to the 600GB FUP limit at 50mbps. After the FUP limit is exhausted, the download speed will drop down to 6mbps.
Lastly, the Rs 16,999 plan will now offer 3TB of FUP data at 100mbps, compared to the 800GB of FUP data at 100mbps. After the FUP limit is exhausted, the download speed will drop down to 4mbps respectively.
Recently, BSNL also increased the FUP limit on its premium FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home) plans in Chennai. With the new update, BSNL is now offering 1.5TB data limit on the Rs 4,999 plan, compared to the 1TB of data limit. Once the said data limit is over, the speed will be reduced to 2mbps.
The Rs 999 FTTH plan will offer 60mbps speed along with 250GB data while the Rs 1,299, Rs 1,699, Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,999 will offer up to 80mbps download and upload speed. The Rs 1,299 plan will offer 400GB FUP, the Rs 1,699 plan will offer 550GB FUP, the Rs 1,999 plan will offer 800GB FUP, and the Rs 2,999 plan will offers 900GB FUP. After the FUP limit is over, the speed will be reduced to 2mbps.
