Drake shells out $10,000 to buy ice cream for 'Scorpion' fansJuly 23 (AZINS) Creating another version of his much-talked about video for the song 'God's Plan', Canadian rapper, Drake turned into an ice cream man and bought frozen treats for fans at different locations in the Los Angeles suburbs.

'God's Plan,' which is also part of Drake's chart-topping new album Scorpion, saw the 31-year-old singer spend $996,631.90 for college tuitions of students, helping out needy, buying toys for kids.

A smaller version of it took place in LA on Friday when the rapper paid more than $10,000 for 1,000 individuals. He set up four stands in Hidden Hills and one at The Commons at Calabasas to give away the free goodies, reported TMZ.

The lyrics from Scorpion were plastered on the sides of the 'Ice Cream Occasions' carts. Drake called the activity a 'cool thing to do on a hot day for the community.'

Drake's latest album garnered a whopping 435 million streams and sold one million copies within just two weeks of release. The all-star affair has a whopping 25 tracks. Three songs from this collection were already out making headlines each time. He began with unveiling 'God's Plan' then star-studded video for 'Nice For What,' followed by a Pusha T diss track 'I'm Upset' featuring most of his Degrassi cast.

In two of the songs from the album, he also confirmed that he fathered a child. Song titled 'Emotionless' is the revelation when he sang, "I wasn't hiding my kid from the world/I was hiding the world from my kid." Other track, 'March 14, sees him refer to mother of his child as Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean'.

Along with Drake, the album features vocal talents and guest appearances from Jay-Z, Ty Dolla $ign, Static Major and posthumous appearance from none other than late King of Pop Michael Jackson.

Recently Drake's 'In My Feelings' song grabbed the numero-uno spot in Billboard's Hot 100 list.
