Demi Lovato hospitalized for probable drug overdose, stable nowJuly 25 (AZINS) In an unfortunate turn of events pop star Demi Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday after an apparent drug overdose.

The Sorry Not Sorry singer has been quite open about her struggles with substance abuse.

She first entered rehab in 2011, and had been sober for six years.

While TMZ had originally reported that law enforcement sources claimed that Demi had suffered from a heroin overdose, a source later told the website that heroin wasn’t the cause of the overdose.

“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” a source close to Demi said.

“Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now," the source added.

A month ago, Demi released a new single called Sober.

The song talked about withdrawal symtoms and relapse issues.

On hearing the song, fans of the star were concerned about her health and thought that the song probably refers to the singer's backslide.

At the moment, the pop-singer's condition is stable.

Her next scheduled concert was set to take place on July 26, in Atlantic City, before traveling to Latin America for the final leg of her 52-date tour, but a variety of reports claim that her performance has been cancelled.
