Zayn Malik teams up with mighty Timbaland for funky R&B number 'Too Much'Aug 3 (AZINS) Zayn Malik scored big when he roped in super producer Timbaland to collaborate for new track 'Too Much.' The former One Direction member is gearing to launch his second solo album. While the title of the album is under wraps, the singer has been dropping new material for quite a while now.

Malik began with teasing the first 15-seconds of the track on July 31 and dropped the animated video on August 1. The video features 'Pillowtalk' singer's animated avatar doing moonwalk on the streets while Timbaland's avatar is in the back bouncing his ride with full-blown stereos in the background.

The song, as usual, takes complete advantage of Malik's impeccable trademark falsetto. Combined with Timbaland's

Angel López, Federico Vindver, Malik, and Timbaland are credited for writing the lyrics.

They read,

I think we met and the time flies

I took your digits a while back

I think we fucked in the flashback

Won't leave my mind, kinda sidetracked

Felt good but now I feel bad

I think I know I can't take it back

No, there's nothin' I can say

'Too Much' is another song and another deliberate effort to push away from the One Direction song palette. In an interview with NME in March, he said that his second album will be different from the last one. He is looking at a matured album as he is growing old.

“I didn’t know what was going on for a while. I was just putting out a record and not really being as prominent as I wanted to be," he told the magazine.

He seems to have kept his promise if you listen to the previously released tracks 'Let Me,' 'Entertainer,' and the latest 'Sour Diesel.'

Regular introduction of new material, a flurry of activity on his social media account could be hinting at the album drop in near future.
