Samsung launches Galaxy A8 Star in India: Price, specifications and moreAug 24 (AZINS) A few days after Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 9 in India, the company launched the Galaxy A8 Star for a price of Rs 34,990. The device will be available via e-commerce portal Amazon India, starting August 27.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A8 Star features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 64GB which can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card.

Running Android 8.0 Oreo, the device comes equipped with a 16MP primary sensor along with a 24MP secondary sensor. The device also features a 24MP front-facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5 LE and GPS. A 3700mAh battery completes the package.

Today, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 goes on sale in India. The 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 67,900 while the 8GB RAM/512GB storage variant is priced at Rs 84,900. It will be available for purchase via e-commerce portal Flipkart, Amazon India and the Samsung Online Store.

In terms of specifications, the device features a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2960pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with 6GB/8GB RAM options. It will be offered in two storage variants – 128GB and 512GB along with a microSD card, expandable up to 512GB.

Running Android Oreo, the smartphone comes equipped with a dual rear camera set up – 12MP + 12MP sensors along with an 8MP front facing camera. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G and 4G. A 4000mAh battery completes the package.
