Did Shah Rukh Khan charge this exorbitant fee for Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 promo?Aug 27 (AZINS) Ekta Kapoor recently announced the day on which the reboot version of her popular show Kasautii Zindagii Kay will premiere in a short and sweet promo video. The highlight of the video was the presence of Shah Rukh Khan along side Ekta herslef.

The video had Shah Rukh teasing Ekta about her new-found love. He keeps asking her to give him the details and tell him more about her love life. However, it gets revealed in the promo that Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 will go on air from September 25, at 8 pm.

While reports of Shah Rukh Khan being a part of the rebooted show were rife already, this promo came as a pleasant surprise for all. But did you know about the exorbitant fee SRK apparently charged for the said promo?

Well, if the reports doing the rounds are anything to go by, then Shah Rukh charged a whopping sum of Rs 8 crore for shooting the promo. Reportedly, SRK shot for about 6 to 8 hours along with Ekta. Since he also plays the narrator of the show, he went on to shoot for another two-three hours shooting for his portions as the narrator.

After about a decade, Kasautii will be back with an all new cast. Erica Fernandes will be seen stepping into the character of Prerna, Parth Samthaan will play Anurag, while Hina Khan is being considered for the character of Komolika. The promo of the show has already been shot and a few pictures from the promo had made it to the social media and gone viral.

As per reports, the shooting of the show is currently going on in Kolkata.
