Sep 2 (AZINS) Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's recent release Stree is working its charms at the ticket windows. How else would one explain the massive jump in its box office collections on just the second day of its release? On day two, Stree raked in a total of Rs 10.87 crore. This makes the sum total of of the film to stant at Rs 17.69 crore in just two days of its release.
The film has garnered critical acclaim and a significant word of mouth. With the kind of response Stree has been receiving, it is expected to witness a great footfall on Sunday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the box office figures of Stree. He wrote, "#Stree catches speed and hits double digits on Day 2... The low costs and high theatrical returns makes it a BIG SUCCESS... Expect further growth on Day 3... Eyes ? 30 cr [+/-] weekend... Fri 6.82 cr, Sat 10.87 cr. Total: ? 17.69 cr. India biz."
The horror comedy produced by Dinesh Vijan, Raj & DK and directed by Amar Kaushik is gathering immense love from the viewers. Not just the leads Rajkummar and Shraddha, the performances of the supporting cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee are also being much appreciated.
