Spotted: Honor 8X Max with 7.12-inch display listed on VmallSep 3 (AZINS) The Honor 8X Max has been listed on its online store, Vmall ahead of the launch. The listing offers a glimpse of the upcoming device along with specifications. Though, there is no information provided regarding the price. The website provides an offer to book the device by making a payment off 99 Yuan and getting a pair of earphones along with the device.

In terms of specifications, the device will feature a 7.12-inch IPS FHD+ display with a 2244×1080 pixels resolution. It will most likely be powered by a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB and 6GB RAM options. It will be offered in two storage variants – 64GB and 128GB along with expandable storage of up to 256GB.

It will be equipped with a dual camera set up – 20MP + 2MP set up along with a 16MP front-facing camera. Running Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 on top, it will be backed up by a 5000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging as well.

At IFA 2018, Huawei's sub-brand Honor teased its own take on the hidden camera when it announced the upcoming Magic 2, a successor to the 2016 Magic phone. Featuring a ‘FullView Display,' this almost bezel-less device has found a different way to ‘pop up' the camera. Honor's president George Zhao stood on stage at the Berlin event and then slid the smartphone, manually pushing up the camera, rather than relying on an automated mechanism. For anyone that remembers their phone from a decade ago, there's a good chance it did just that, though revealing a keyboard instead.

The device will be powered by newly announced Huawei Kirin 980 processor, which will rival the Snapdragon 845 and feature in phones such as the Huawei P20 Pro. It's not sure when the Magic 2 will be released, or where, as the original Magic was a limited edition in China.
