Sep 5 (AZINS) Sushant Singh Rajput made headlines when upon a request by a fan, he donated Rs 1 crore for Kerala Flood relief work last month. Looks like the generosity of the actor knows no limit because on Monday Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio tweeted the pictures of Sushant Singh Rajput and his team handing over a cheque of Rs 1.25 crore for the victims of floods in the state.
According to Home and State Disaster Management Authority, secretary, Rovilatuo Mor the unprecedented series of disaster in Nagaland has affected at least 13.19% of the total population of the state and severely affected 48,821 families in 532 villages while an area of 5408.57 acres agricultural sector has also been impacted.
The state capital Kohima and the districts of Tuensang, Kiphire and Phek have been severely affected, he said.
The three districts of Tuensang, Kiphire and Phek were cut off from the rest of the state for about 15 days since the rains became incessant from the July 26, he said adding that about 359 locations of roads have been totally cut off sending the state into an SOS situation.
Reportedly, the recovery work is still going on with the help of Indian Air Force and various NGOs.
CM Neiphiu Rio thanked the actor for donating and encouraging others to come forward and help the state.
Sushant and his team was felicitated by the CM with the traditional handloom scarves and other gifts that represent the heritage of the state. Sushant also took to his Twitter handle to thank the CM for his time and appreciated the work he has been doing.

On the work front, Sushant Singh Rajput currently has three projects in the pipeline, including Kedarnath, Son Chiraiya and Kizie Aur Manny (The Fault In Our Stars remake).
