Amyra Dastur gets hurt on the sets of 'Mental Hai Kya'Sep 20 (AZINS) Amyra Dastur, who recently began shooting for Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Mental Hai Kya', had a little accident on the sets. Amyra, who plays Rajkummar's love interest in the webseries, was shooting with him in a studio. They had practiced the scene a few times but when the director said, ‘action’ she tripped on something and fell directly on the bricks lying there and hurt both her knees.

The actress started bleeding profusely but thankfully she got immediate first aid. Despite being in pain, Amyra decided to finish all her scenes before heading to the hospital to get a tetanus shot. While shooting the scenes again, Rajkummar jokingly asked her to put a mattress underneath so that if she falls again, she doesn't hurt herself this time. They wrapped the shoot early that day.

Speaking about the whole incident, Amyra said, “I wanted to use the pain and discomfort in my scene because I knew it would definitely better my performance. I also knew I had to get a tetanus shot and get my wound cleaned since there were still little pieces of the brick stuck inside. The whole team was really sweet. Rajkummar asked the team to lay mattresses down in case I would fall again. Prakash changed the schedule and made me finish off all my scenes as soon as possible so I could leave early and go straight to the hospital. All the AD’s kept checking on me to see if I was OK or if I needed anything."

"It was a 2pm - 2am shift and I was done by 10pm. By 11:30pm my tetanus shot was done and my wounds were dressed and cleaned. At 2am sharp I had messages on my phone from the entire crew and cast asking if I was Ok. I guess they kind of think of me as the baby on set since I’m the youngest and most hyper person on set. I always look forward to shooting with the team for this reason. This is definitely one set where I’ve been treated so kindly and where people truly take care of one and other,” she added.
