Jaipur’s Kunaal Vermaa creates music for Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Cheat India'Nov 15 (AZINS) We had earlier told you that lyricist Kunaal Vermaa is all set to turn music composer. It has been revealed that the writer, who is from Jaipur, has composed music for the upcoming Bollywood film, Cheat India that features Emraan Hashmi.

Co-composed by Rangon, the song will be released next month. The Jaipur lad is quite excited about his debut as a composer. “It is a sad-romantic number with soothing music and has been picturised on Emraan Hashmi. I am really happy about making a debut with the song; I am confident that people will like the song, as it is also my finest work as a lyricist,” Vermaa shared in a telephonic conversation with AFTERhrs.

Before writing and composing the song, Vermaa never imagined it would be part of the film. “I randomly wrote the song around an imaginary situation. Once Bhushan Kumar (owner of T-series) happed to listen to the song. He loved it and asked me to show him a few more of our compositions. I had three by that time; he heard and liked all of them,” he explained. The Kunaal-Rangon composer duo has 7-8 songs in the pipeline with T-series and around 15 tracks as lyricists with the same music company.

Vermaa has also composed a few songs in Rajasthan. “I never formally learned it and till the time I was in Rajasthan, it was fine. But in Mumbai, I was sure that nobody will take me seriously kyunki wahan tukka nahi chalta (flukes don’t work there),” shared Vermaa. “I always have a composition in mind when I write any song. I used to rewrite new popular Bollywood songs but I never had time to think about composing music since I was busy writing. My first priority will still be writing for my composers,” he added, before signing off.
