2.0 Box Office: Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer gets an impressive start, mints Rs 20.25 crore on Day 1 of its releaseNov 30 (AZINS) Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's latest release 2.0 is off to an impressive start. The Shankar directorial has managed to rake in a total of Rs 20.25 crore on day one of its release, in the Hindi dubbed version. The movie, which is reportedly based on a massive budget of about 600 crore, boasts of mind-blowing visual effects and CGI.

The early estimates of the box office collections of 2.0 suggested that the film has collected about Rs 20 crore on its openine day and the official figures are almost the same. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the Box Office numbers of 2.0.

He wrote, "Non-holiday release... Non-festival period... Yet, #2Point0 takes a SUPER START... Keeping in mind the fact that it’s a dubbed film + advance bookings opened very late, the biz is STRONG... Thu ? 20.25 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version."

The Rajinikanth film opened to mixed reviews from the critics, but an extremely positive word of mouth from the fans and audience, helped in boosting the footfalls at the ticket windows in the evening and night shows. From here, the film is expected to grow leaps and bounds in terms of if box office numbers.
