It took Ajay Devgn and Kajol 1 year to break-up with their respective partners before they could finally get marriedAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Dec 1 (AZINS) Two years after a public fallout around the release of their respective directorials, 'Shivaay' and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar decided to call truce on the latter's popular chat show, 'Koffee With Karan'. Ajay is all set to grace the 'Koffee' couch this Sunday with his wife and Karan's dear friend, Kajol.
The couple will be seen spilling the beans on lesser known aspects of their lives. They have been happily married for almost two decades now but there is not much known about their love story. Karan will reveal in the episode how Kajol found Ajay a bit weird and aloof on her first meeting with him but just a month later, she couldn't stop gushing about him. The couple will nod to all his and further tell how it took them a year to break up with their respective partners to finally get hitched.
After four years of their courtship, without any formal proposal, the duo decided to get married in an intimate ceremony. Ajay once said, “We never resorted to the usual ‘I Love you’ routine. A proposal never happened. We grew with each other. Marriage was never discussed, but it was always imminent.”
A promo released by Star World shows Karan asking Ajay if they could be friends now. While Ajay, who in his 19-and-a-half years of marriage with Kajol has remained quite evasive towards Karan, nodded with a 'yes', Kajol interrupted, telling KJo, ‘You can’t be friends with him; you’re my friend.”
Ajay also revealed that they fight a lot over selfies. Ajay told Karan on the show how Kajol is obsessed with clicking selfies and Instagram filters. He revealed that their fifteen-year-old daughter Nysa and Kajol sometimes spend as many as three hours over editing.
What's more? Karan called his best-friend 'low-maintenance' on national television. He asked Kajol why she chooses to shop at Santa Cruz market instead of flaunting designer labels. Kajol accepted that she wears brands only for public appearances as comfort is most important to her. “I’d rather put my money in fixed deposits than spend on something expensive that has no bloody returns," Kajol proudly admitted. Ajay further added how she has moved to online shopping to save money.
