Simmba: Ranveer Singh upset with Ajay Devgn's presence in the trailer of the film?Author : AZIndia News Desk
Dec 10 (AZINS) Post marrying his ladylove Deepika Padukone in November, actor Ranveer Singh will be seen for the first time on the silver screen in Rohit Shetty's Simmba.
The trailer of Ranveer Singh-Sara Ali Khan trailer released on December 3, with Ajay Devgn's Singham character narrating the story of Simmba (Ranveer's character) in the video.
Many liked the fact that Ajay Devgn, even if small, has a part to play in the film, but looks like Ranveer Singh is not at all happy with the actor as Singham stealing the limelight from him with his cameo in the trailer.
The trailer of the film begins with Ajay's character narrating the story of Simmba aka Sangram Bhalerao from Shivgadh, who goes on to become a corrupt police officer.
While the trailer mainly focuses on Ranveer, it ends with Ajay Devgn's grand dramatic entry of stepping out of a speeding SUV to save Simmba from the clutches of the goons who held him captive.
Ranveer Singh, after the trailer of Simmba was released online, looked seemingly upset
"Ranveer Singh was so angry after he received a certain call that the normally happy-go-lucky guy's mood completely changed. It was rather evident that his mood had changed after he received the call. The trailer had gone online at that time. So one is not sure whether the call pertained to the reaction of someone important who did not have too many good things to say about Ranveer's presence in the trailer," an eyewitness at Simmba's trailer launch event was quoted as saying by Deccan Chronicle.
There's no doubt that Ajay Devgn's entry as Singham came as a surprise package for fans, while Ranveer's character of Simmba comparatively received less appreciation on social media.
Now, it remains to be seen if the Padmaavat actor manages to make Simmba his own franchise with his performance.
Simmba is an official remake of Jr NTR starrer 2015 Telugu film Temper, directed by Puri Jagannadh.
The film also stars Sonu Sood and Siddharth Jadhav in key roles, and will hit the screens on December 28.
