'Kedarnath' box office collection Day 4: Sara Ali Khan starrer passes crucial test, earns Rs 32 crore on working MondayDec 11 (AZINS) Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath, which started on a slow note, picked up pace over the weekend at the box office and has now cleared the crucial working Monday test as well.

The romantic drama, directed by filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, set against the backdrop of 2013 Uttarakhand floods, made Rs 4.25 crore on Monday, taking its total to Rs 32 crore.

While sharing the figures on his Twitter handle, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote that the film was ‘rock-steady’ at the box office.

"Kedarnath had made Rs 7.25 crore on Monday, Rs 9.75 crore on Saturday, and Rs 10.75 on Sunday. The film made Rs 27.75 crore over its first weekend, registering the biggest opening for Sushant since 2016’s MS Dhoni: The Untold Story," Taran tweeted.

Kedarnath is an eternal love story set in the backdrop of the flash floods that wrecked the temple town in June of 2013. It is a potent combination of love and religion, passion and spirituality.

The floods that took the lives of over a hundred thousand people is a powerful backdrop for this love story.

Kedarnath also marks the debut of Sara Ali Khan- daughter of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh.

The film also presents the second association of Abhishek Kapoor with Ronnie Screwvala along with Sushant Singh Rajput after Kai Po Che.
