Ranveer Singh got Anil Kapoor in 'Dil Dhadakne Do', Zoya Akhtar reveals Bosco’s bizarre instructions for Gallan GoodiyanDec 23 (AZINS) Ever since Ranveer Singh has entered the industry, he has not hidden his fondness for Govinda and Anil Kapoor. While he is still left to work with Govinda, very few know that he actually got Anil Kapoor on board for Zoya Akhtar’s movie Dil Dhadakne Do.

Along with revealing this detail, Zoya also shared a bizarre piece of information during her chat on a No Filter Neha. She recollected the moment during the shooting of the movie’s famous song Gallan Goodiyan, sharing how Bosco said one word and the whole team got into their characters.

Zoya said, “At one point in the song, they all started doing crazy steps and I called Bosco and I’m like Bosco what are they doing ya. They’re like not in character at all. I gave Bosco like a 15 minute spiel about character, tone and the pitch of the film and Bosco turned around, looks at them and says ‘Baba!’ and they all turn to him and they’re like ‘Multiplex’ and he walks off. I’m like that’s your brief? And he’s like they’ve understood.”

She also elaborated on the bond Ranveer and Anil Kapoor share saying, “Ranveer really helped because Ranveer would send him love messages like ‘sir you have to come’. Because Ranveer was like only AK can do this. And Ranveer loves AK. Those two were like two peas in a pod at that shoot.”

Ranveer and Zoya also bonded a lot during the shooting of this film, to the extent that Ranveer went on to call Zoya ‘bae’. The duo then went on to work in Gully Boy which also features Alia Bhatt in the lead role. In Gully Boy, Ranveer’s character is inspired from real-life rapper Divine.
