Would love to collaborate with him, he's a favourite: Ranveer Singh on working with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Andaz Apna Apna 2'Dec 30 (AZINS) Both Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor have floored the audience and critics alike with their stellar performances over the years.

While Ranbir is caught up shooting for his next, Brahmastra, with girlfriend Alia Bhatt, Ranveer's Rohit Shetty directorial Simmba, hit the silver screens on Friday.

The film which also stars Sara Ali Khan has been appreciated and is doing pretty well at the box office.

The newlywed actor who has won several hearts with his energetic demeanor and amazing acting chops, recently spoke about doing a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna.

While responding on Twitter to a fan who had asked if he would ever do an out and out comedy film, the actor said, "Hoping for something crackling to come along! very much looking forward to something in that space! Andaz Apna Apna 2?!"

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, on the other hand, in an interview with Pinkvilla had also expressed his desire to cast Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the sequel.

Talking about doing the sequel with Ranbir, Ranveer in an interview with the publication stated, "I think it's a cult film and I think it's going to be difficult to live up to it. If you are planning to make the sequel of Andaz Apna Apna, you have got a big responsibility as it's one of those timeless comedies."

"And yes, I would love to collaborate with Ranbir as he is one of my favourite actors. There have been several opportunities and I hope one of them in near future materializes. It will be a very enriching experience working with Ranbir,” he added.
