Brace yourself! Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Drive will release on THIS dateJan 3 (AZINS) Tarun Manukhani's Drive finally gets a release date. Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez had finished shooting for the film last year itself, however, despite the movie being slated for release in September last year, it was postponed several times. The release date for the film had been stalled reportedly due to creative differences between Mansukhani and Karan Johar.

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions shared a small promo on Thursday and revealed the release date of the action thriller. The official Twitter handle of the production house shared, "Buckle up, #Drive hits theatres on 28th June 2019 @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @Tarunmansukhani @itsSSR @Asli_Jacqueline @foxstarhindi."

Karan Johar too shared the motion teaser and wrote alongside, "On your marks, get set & race. See you in cinemas for a pulsating ride on 28th June, 2019 . #DRIVE"

Sushant, who was last seen in Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath, alongside Sara Ali Khan, had earlier said that the film is not a remake of the 2011 Hollywood production of the same name. The actor had in fact said that if it were a remake, the makers would have cast someone better looking and not him. This is the first time that Sushant Singh Rajput will be sharing screen space with Jacqueline Fernandez whose last film Race 3 had tanked at the Box Office.
